Review | Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation and Concealer.
Starting with the foundation.
This claims to be a weightless and virtually invisible liquid foundation that creates a luminous, demi-matte finish. It also claims that this formula helps skin achieve a natural, illuminated and bright finish— like the beautiful skin you were born with. Naked Skin is formulated with light-diffusing spheres, transforming you to look professionally retouched. Buildable coverage allows women to customize their look.
So, first of all I have to say that this truly is weightless, and it is very comfortable to wear, but with that said I don’t really like this foundation. The reasons I don’t like it is because it fades in oily areas, even when I set with powder, and it cakes up on dry patches. It also emphasizes facial hair, so if you have a little bit of peach fuzz on your top lip, this will give you a straight up mustache! And that’s not really what I think any of us want.
Now, as far as coverage goes this is a sheer/light coverage, and I wouldn’t really say it’s buildable because it does get cakey where I try to build it up. However, I do think that this could work if you have normal skin, but if you are dry, combination or oily I’d skip this one.
And I also have to mention that you have to use a sponge/beautyblender to apply this, because it does get very streaky when applied with a brush.
So overall, I’m not impressed at all, but if you really want to try it and see if it might work for you, I’d suggest that you get a sample before buying the full size.
Other than that this is formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan.

Now, lets talk about the concealer.
This claims to be an innovative, high-coverage concealer that provides buildable, weightless coverage and leaves an invisible, Naked Skin finish.
It also claims that this concealer lets you cover imperfections without looking covered up. It’s easily blendable and buildable, giving you even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra-lightweight, this high-tech liquid formula never settles into fine lines, and it melds on for a no makeup look while full coverage in an instant. And it’s paraben-free.
So, when I got this I was mostly curious to try it because of all the hype it’s been getting, and yes, this is a good concealer, but I don’t think it’s that good.
Now, the reason I think that is because it just doesn’t cover my blemishes, and it definitely does not cover my dark circles, it just make them look a bit grey and dry, and it does crease on me, no matter what I do, but I do really like this for highlighting purposes though.
Now, with that said this doesn’t fade in my oily areas, and it is very lightweight and comfortable to wear, so it does have some good things about it as well.
Also, I’ve heard that people say that it reminds them of the MAC Pro Longwear concealer, and I can agree with that, but that didn’t really do much for me either, so I honestly think that this is very over-hyped,.
But, if you like the Pro Longwear, and want to try this I’d say go for it! Because than I think it would work for you.
I also have to mention that the shade range could be better, so you might have to buy two to mix if you can’t find your shade.
