Review | NEW Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks
This is what it says on the Urban Decay Website:
Prepare to get hooked. Vice Lipstick comes in a massive lineup of 100 addictive shades and six indulgent finishes—our biggest lineup yet!
Our shade range has it all: Bold brights. Dark, sexy shades. Super-versatile neutrals. With so much variety it’ll make your head spin, there’s something for everyone—from new shades to cult favorites you thought you’d never see again
The pigment load in Vice Lipstick is insane! Just one swipe provides an unbelievable laydown of color. And every shade applies smoothly (without dragging or skipping), hugs lips, and feels amazing! Our proprietary Pigment Infusion System™ gives the formula its super-creamy texture, rich payout and superior color dispersion.
This creamy formula is loaded with nourishing ingredients. A yummy butter blend comforts, hydrates and enhances, leaving lips soft and conditioned, never dry. Aloe vera, jojoba, avocado and babassu oils nourish and soften lips. Illipe butter (derived from Malaysian illipe trees) provides long-lasting moisture. And Vitamin C and vitamin E provide a hit of antioxidants.
So, from what I understand, Urban Decay re-did all their lipsticks and put them all in one big collection, instead of several different ones, and I figured I’d try some of them out to see if they are as good as some of the reviews says they are.
Now, first of all I have to say that I’m impressed with the pigmentation of these lipsticks, even the sheer-finish ones are alost equally as pigmented as creams and comfort matte, so I’m very plesantly surprised with that.
And they all glide over the lips so smooth and evenly, at least of the ones that I’ve got.
However, I did notice that the cream-finishes did bleed outside my lipline a little bit, especially the shade “Crisis”, and I’m not very happy with that since it is a darker shade, and it is very noticable, so I would recommend using a lipliner to prevent the bleeding.
As far as the lasting power goes, I find that they all last a descent amount of time, and they all leave a good stain behind once they wear off, with exception of the shade “Wrong Number”, that shade just disappears, but for me that’s not really an issue since I always bring my lipstick with me for touch-ups, and since they do leave a stain you don’t really have to worry too much about re-applying.
So, overall I do think that these lipsticks are good. I don’t think they’re the best ones out there, but I do think they’re worth checking out since you do get so many different shade- and finish opptions with these.
I got mine from Kicks for 175nok a piece.
