So, Revlon just came out with these highlighter sticks, and since I haven’t really tried any cream/stick highlighters before, I got curious to try them, and so far, I’m not quite sure if these are something I’ll reach for on a daily basis.
Now, the reason I’m not thrilled about these is mostly because they’re very subtle on the skin, and I’m not that happy about the shades, because I do prefer more of a champagne toned highlight, and with these you either get a pink one, or a gold one, and the gold shade is a bit dark on me, so I’m a bit bummed about that.
However, I do find that these are very easy to apply, and they don’t disturb the make-up underneath it if you pat it on top of foundation or even powder, so you don’t have to worry about it removing what you’ve already done.
It also doesn’t look chunky or patchy, so if you’re into “natural/subtle”-looking highlighters, or if you’re just starting out, I do think that these would work nicely for you.
I basicly feel like it all comes down to your personal preferences, because I don’t think that these are bad, I just prefer powders rather than creams, and I do wish that they would come out with a few more shade-opptions.
Now, as far as the staying power goes, I do find that they stay on for around 5hours, and I also noticed that the pink one stayed on for around 1hour longer than the gold one, but since these are in a stick form, they are very easy to throw in your purse so you could easily touch them up abit throughout the day if you feel like you need to do that.
So overall I do like these, and I do think they are great on those days when you’re going for a no make-up make-up look, but if you want something that’s visible from space I don’t think that these are for you.
I got mine from Eleven for 123nok a piece.
