Review | NEW Zoeva The Basic Moment Blush Palette
This is what it says on the Zoeva website:
In honor of the most precious moments in time, the magnificent ZOEVA The Basic Moment Blush Palette holds a curated trilogy of incredibly pigmented powder shades to expertly sculpt and enhance the features. While the universally flattering peach blush ensures softly flushed cheeks, the gorgeous contouring hue flawlessly shapes the face and the champagne colored highlighter illuminates the complexion with an ethereal veil of shimmering gold.
Finishes: Matte, Pearl
The powder formulation is enriched with vitamin E, easy to blend and 100% free of parabens, mineral oils, perfume and phthalates. Superior pigmentation. Made in Italy.
So Zoeva just came out with this ‘The Basic Moment collection’, and to me this caught my eye because, in my mind, this is a palette that’s meant to be just the basics of what you need to create a simple, natural look, and that’s something I look for in those all-in-one sort of palettes.
Especially now that we’re moving into the summer months, I really just want something that’s easy to throw on, that’s gonna last throughout the day and that I’m not gonna have to think about throughout the day, you know? And so far I have to say that this palette does deliver when it comes to what I thought it would be.
Now, in this palette you do get a blush, a highlight and a ‘bronzer’/contour powder, and they’re all very smooth, soft powders, and they’re not overly pigmented when you apply them with a brush, so I do think that they’re easy to work with. They’re also quite buildable, so you can make them more intense if you’d like too, but they are more on the subtle side if you only apply one light layer, and to me that’s a good thing, because I do feel like you get a lot more control that way.
Moving on to the lastingpower on these powder I do find that they all last very well, but they all fade a little by the end of the day (after around 8-ish hours), but to me that’s not really bad at all, and you can always retouch your blush if you feel like you need a bit more color throughout the day.
Other than that I have to say that I do feel like this palette will be best for fair to light skintones, maybe light-medium, but I’m not sure that it will show up too much on anyone with a deeper skintone, so that is, sadly, something to keep in mind with this palette.
And I also feel like these shades aren’t very uniqe. Now, I do think that they’re beautiful shades, and I do like them a lot, but I also feel like most of us already have these shades somewhere in our collections.
But this is a very easy palette to reach for because you have everything you need in one palette, and because of that I do like this palette alot. And it does everything it says it does, so I do find it to be a good palette overall.
I got mine from Douglas for 157nok.
