So, I got this palette in a subscription box a few months ago, and I’m always excited to play with makeup from brands I’m not familiar with, and, even though these aren’t shades I’d normally go for, it was fun to try something a little out of my comfort zone.
Now, I tried to do some research on the brand before I tried these shadows, and from what I could find out these seems to be the first eyeshadows this brand has come out with, so I didn’t have alot of expectations when it came to the pigmentation, lasting power and texture on these, but I was very pleasantly surprised as soon as I tried them.
Now, as far as the pigmentation goes, I find that these are pigmented enough to show up on the lids with one layer, but they’re not so pigmented that I find them ‘intimidating’, if you know what I mean?
But they are also very buildable, and I prefer shadows like that, because I find that those are the easiest to work with, since you get alot more control with them. So if you’re like me and find it a little scary to wear shades that are a bit more colorful, I think that these are great shadows to try out.
However, I do think that these are a little too soft in texture, because you can very easily get a lot of fallout with them, since they do have a lot of kickup, but as long you tap off the exess powder they’re not too bad. I just prefer shadows that are a little “firmer”, because I feel like you waste a lot of product, so that’s something to keep in mind with these.
But, overall I do quite like them, and if they release a palette with more neutral shades I’d be very interessed in that. Because, like I said, they are very easy to work with, they blend very nicely and they do last all day.
So, if you like pink and red shadows, and you feel like you will get a lot of use out of this, I definetly think that this a palette that’s worth checking out.
It’s available on Laritzy.com for $48.
