So, I’ve tried several different powder products from Zoeva in the past, and it’s been a few hits and misses, but when I saw that they’d released a foundation, I got really curious to try it, but this didn’t answer to my expectetions.
Now, the first thing I noticed when I tried this was that it felt a little heavy, and it did look a little drying on my skin, but I’ve tried foundations that do that in the past, and most of the time they look a lot better once I’ve applied the rest of makeup, and it did for a few hours, but then it got very greasy, and when I tried to touch it up it looked very heavy and cakey, and that’s not something I want my foundation to do.
Now, that might be because I have more combination skin, but since it claims to be a natural-luminous finish, and my skin get’s a little drier in the colder months, I didn’t think it would matter all that much, so it’s definitely something to keep in mind if you’re interested in trying it.
However, when it comes to the longevity and coverage on this, I will say that it holds up to it’s claims, because it is a very buildable medium-full coverage, and, even though it started to fade a little after 6-ish hours, it did last all day, so I was very pleased with that.
And it didn’t emphasize my pores, or any dry patches that I have, so I can’t say that it’s a bad product, it just didn’t work for me personally.
So, overall I think that it’s an OK foundation, and I love that in comes in such a wide shaderange, but I don’t think that it’s anything special, and, unless you have more of a normal-dry skintype, I don’t think it would be the best choice.
