Review | Makeup Geek Blushes:

On the Makeup Geek website they claim that these blushes are easy to blend and give a natural radiance. They also guarantee a creamy, smooth consistency that glides onto cheeks. First of all I’m sure that everyone has heard of, and gotten a few of these blushes, and if you haven’t already, I would highly recommend that you get some. These are true to their claims, and they’re half the price (at least) of high-end blushes. And to be honest, I like these more than MAC-blushes, the only downside […]

Review | MAC Pro Longwear Foundation:

This claims to be a comfortable, long-wearing foundation that gives medium coverage with a natural matte finish and up to 15 hours of wear in any environmental condition. Lightweight and creamy, it applies and blends easily leaving the skin feeling soft and free to breathe all day while controlling oil. Specially treated micronized pigments help give a smoother, more flawless, natural matte finish with stay-true colour. Now, when I first got this I was kind of scared to try it, because I’ve heard so many times that MAC foundations, most […]

Review | Makeup Geek Eyeshadows:

On the makeupgeek website it says that these are highly-pigmented eyeshadows that cost half the price of high end shadows, without sacrificing the quality. These are also cruelty-free, talc and paraben-free. (The foiled eyeshadows are a hybrid between powder and cream). These shadows are my absolute favorite. They’re really smooth, and have a creamy feeling to them, and they stay on all day without creasing. However, if you have oily lids, you might wanna use a primer underneath, especially with the foiled formula, but on normal eyelids I don’t […]

Review | Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation

On the Smashbox website it says that it’s the secret to picture perfect skin. It claims to stay flawless for 15 hours, blurring imperfections, beeing sweat and humidity-resistant, transfer-proof, and a buildable medium-to-full coverage. As well as keeping the skin hydrated and shine free all day. I’ve been using the real techniques miracle complexion sponge to apply this foundation, because I find that it blends better then when I’m using a brush. It also stays on all day, but it may fade in your oily areas, so I would keep […]

Review | Bobbi Brown Corrector

The Bobbi Brown corrector is used for neutralizing dark undereye circles. On the Bobbi Brown website it says that it brightens and covers discoloration, it’s long wearing, creamy and easy to blend. It also claims that it won’t crease, is waterproff and sweat and humidity-resistant. So, I’ve been using this product for about 6 months and I find that it applies best if you use a small concealer brush to apply the product and then blend it in with your fingers. I would also recommend that you let it sit for a minute before you apply your concealer on top, because sometimes I find that the color of the corrector and the concealer kind of mixes together, and that can make some of your discoloration show through after all. However it does stay on all day without fading or looking cakey, and I haven’t had any issues with creasing while wearing it, but that may depend on what concealer you use on top of it, and if you set it with a powder or not. And I can’t really say anything about it being waterproof, but I can say that it’s water, sweat and humidity-resistant. So overall I do think it holds up to the claims, and it is  a good product, but for me it doesn’t cover my dark circles completly, however it does make them a lot less noticable. I got mine from Kicks for 245nok. And it’s […]
