Review | Smashbox Fushion Soft Lights

Reading from the Smashbox website it says: Get a gorgeous lit-from-within glow with this radiant silk-like powder. The innovative baked formula imparts a soft veil of shimmer and keeps your skin looking luminous.   So, I’d been wanting this for a long time before I finally picked it up in the shade “Baked Starblush”. I bought this to use it as a highlighter or a blush topper, and it does give a very beautiful, subtle glow once you get it on, but it is a little bit hard to pick […]

Review | Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream

On the Kiehl’s website it says that this is a restorative eye treatment for younger-looking eyes by morning. It also claims to leave the under-eye skin feeling strengthened and replenished, diminish the appearande of fine lines, as well as reducing puffiness and dark circles. This is also paraben-free, fragrance-free, silcone-free and mineral oil-free. This eye cream has been hyped up all over the internet for a long time now, so I figured I’d try it for myself to see if it’s really worth it, and overall I think it is, […]

Review | Skindinavia Primer & Setting Sprays.

First of all I want to talk about the primer sprays. You get two options with these. Either the original one that claims to virtually give you a poreless, more even-toned complexion over time. Or the oil-controlling one that claims to slow down oil production and promises a prettier skin over time. I don’t know about those “making-your-skin-look-better-over-time” claims, or the poreless complexion claims, but if you combine them with a porefilling primer, like the benefit porefessional, or the smashbox pore minimizing primer, these does work pretty well. For this […]

Review | Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio

I’ve been using the Smashbox contour sticks for a few months now, and I have to say that I am very impressed with these. When I first got them, I wasn’t sure how they would work with my oily skintype, but these stay on all day, I do, however, set them with powder, so I’m not sure how they work without setting them. But they are very creamy, and they blend very easily! However, I do recommend that you, f.ex, draw a line under your left cheekbone, blend that out, […]

Favorites | Top 5 December 2015

Hi, Monkeys. Today I thought I’d share my top 5 makeup products for November/December, and give you my opinion on each one of these. First up is the Lancome Khol Hypnose Waterproof in the shade 03 Marine. This is definitly my favourite eyeliner to tight line with. It stays in place all day, it’s easy to use and it doesn’t smudge, or transfer on me at all. However, this is a high-end product, and the pricetag is a bit high, but if you want to splurge on a high-end liner, I would higly recommend this. For my brows I have been loving the Loreal Brow Artist Plumper, in the shade medium/dark. I love this for the simple reason that you can either use it on top of a browpencil or pomade, or you can use it alone for a more natural look. This keeps my brows in place all day, and it doesn’t make my brows look/feel crispy or glossy. And it’s affordable, so that’s always a bonus. (Swatches L-R: MAC, YSL, Mixed) For highlighting my undereyes I’ve been mixing the YSL Touche Eclat in #2, and the MAC prep+prime in Light Boost. These are very simular products, and they’re supposed to the same thing, but I don’t really like either one of them on their own. However when I mix them togheter they brighten my undereyes perfectly. Now, if you, like me, have very bad undereye circles I would […]
