Review | Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio

I’ve been using the Smashbox contour sticks for a few months now, and I have to say that I am very impressed with these. When I first got them, I wasn’t sure how they would work with my oily skintype, but these stay on all day, I do, however, set them with powder, so I’m not sure how they work without setting them. But they are very creamy, and they blend very easily! However, I do recommend that you, f.ex, draw a line under your left cheekbone, blend that out, […]

Favorites | Top 5 December 2015

Hi, Monkeys. Today I thought I’d share my top 5 makeup products for November/December, and give you my opinion on each one of these. First up is the Lancome Khol Hypnose Waterproof in the shade 03 Marine. This is definitly my favourite eyeliner to tight line with. It stays in place all day, it’s easy to use and it doesn’t smudge, or transfer on me at all. However, this is a high-end product, and the pricetag is a bit high, but if you want to splurge on a high-end liner, I would higly recommend this. For my brows I have been loving the Loreal Brow Artist Plumper, in the shade medium/dark. I love this for the simple reason that you can either use it on top of a browpencil or pomade, or you can use it alone for a more natural look. This keeps my brows in place all day, and it doesn’t make my brows look/feel crispy or glossy. And it’s affordable, so that’s always a bonus. (Swatches L-R: MAC, YSL, Mixed) For highlighting my undereyes I’ve been mixing the YSL Touche Eclat in #2, and the MAC prep+prime in Light Boost. These are very simular products, and they’re supposed to the same thing, but I don’t really like either one of them on their own. However when I mix them togheter they brighten my undereyes perfectly. Now, if you, like me, have very bad undereye circles I would […]

Review | Smashbox Primer Water

Reading of the Smashbox website it says that this is silicone-free, alcohol-free and oil-free. It’s also packed with revitalizing electrolytes to wake up skin and restore moisture—like a supercharged energy drink for your skin. It also says that this enriched water instantly absorbs into skin for lasting hydration. So this is supposed to be a 3-in-1 multitasking water that you can use as a primer, a setting spray and to refresh your makeup (or just your naked face) throughout the day. Well, most of the time, I don’t believe in […]

Review | Makeup Geek Blushes:

On the Makeup Geek website they claim that these blushes are easy to blend and give a natural radiance. They also guarantee a creamy, smooth consistency that glides onto cheeks. First of all I’m sure that everyone has heard of, and gotten a few of these blushes, and if you haven’t already, I would highly recommend that you get some. These are true to their claims, and they’re half the price (at least) of high-end blushes. And to be honest, I like these more than MAC-blushes, the only downside […]

Review | Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask:

On the Origins website it says that nature’s complexion clean-up crew clears the way for skin to act its best. Bamboo Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Skin looks clear, feels perfectly pure. I’ve heard so many good things about this mask, but honestly I’m not that impressed. I mean, this is a nice product and my skin does look good after I rinse this off, but I kind of expected this to be, at least somewhat […]
